Newton's 2nd law:1)if two objects of different weights are thrown off the roof you may use that heavier obj. Will hit the ground first but according to law,the heavier objects acceleration decreases due to mass.the truth is both objects reach at same time..

2) the skater applies force to move skateboard mass of the skates is little so it requires less force for the skateboard to accelerate.
