what are the gases liberated when dilute hydrochloric acid reacts with
1)zinc
2) zinc carbonate

Suggest the experiment to identify this gases dry HCL?

Dry hydrogen chloride gas does not exhibit acidic property .why ?​

Dry HCl gas does not contain any hydrogen ions in it, so it does not show acidic behaviour. In fact, dry HCl gasdoes not change the colour of dry litmus paper as it has no hydrogenions [H+(aq) ions] in it.
