South African development community is a renowned economic community of 15 member countries. The community's main motive was poverty eradication and regional integration by promoting economic development and ensuring peace and security. 

To achieve industrialisation value should be added at each stage / level in order to upgrade the level of technology and machinery being used. 

Maximising regional and economic prosperity by adding value services would also help develop the SADC region. 

Thus, value added services are undertaken in the areas of industries and the government and economy level in the SADC region.
