Answer:
hey mate.....here is your answer.....
- Ionic compounds typically have high melting and boiling points.
- They are hard and brittle.
- As solids they are almost always electrically insulating, but when melted or dissolved they become highly conductive, because the ions are mobilized.
hope it helps you......please thank my answer and mark as brainliest if it was helpful.......

Answer:
The properties for ionic compounds are
- physical nature : ionic compounds are solids and a somewhat hard because of the strong force of attraction between the positive and negative ions these compounds are generally brittle and break into pieces when pressure is applied
- melting and boiling point : ionic compounds have high melting and boiling points this is because a considerable amount of energy is required to break the strong inter ionic attraction
- solubility : electrovalent compounds are generally soluble in water and insoluble in solvents such as kerosene petrol etc
- conduction of electricity : the conduction of electricity through a solution involve the movement of charged particles a solution of ionic compound in water contains high on which moved to the opposite electrodes when electricity is passed through the solution ionic compounds in solid state do not conduct electricity because moment of iron in the solid is not possible due to their rigid structure but ionic compounds conduct electricity in molten state this is possible in Molten state since the electrostatic forces of attraction between the oppositely charged ions are overcome due to the heat does the ions more freely and conduct electricity.
