Well, I never understood the concept of "ratta mar", which was highly popular amongst my friends. Maybe my memory wasn’t that sharp and I really couldn’t remember all that stuff for all the subjects, you know. So I always followed one basic principle. It is to understand the concept of the topic that you are studying and then explain it in your own words. Being an Arts student, this worked well for me. Rather than “ctrl c + ctrl v” from what is written in the notes/books/whatever your resource material is, you can always rely on your own capacity to explain the stuff that you know. When you do this, you can easily channelize the added time in beautifying your answers – maps, diagrams, and other supporting work to take it further. I might not have got all the high-flying marks, but whatever I achieved was always from what I really understood. Hope this helps.
