Answer:
deforestation is the cutting down of trees which ultimately lead to soil erosion as the roots of tree hold the soil together. Also it lead global warming as trees also prevent Earth from global warming.
Explanation:
trees provide us oxygen if we cut down the trees oxygen generation is reduced which ultimately lead to the increasement in the content of carbon dioxide in the environment which gradually lead to de ozone depletion due to which global warming is occurring.

Hi Mate! Here is your Answer!
What is deforestation ?
When we cut trees more than very much, there is a loss of trees, forest etc. This loss of forest, trees is called as deforestation. The opposite of deforestation is reforestation, in which we plant very much trees to protect environment .
Harmful effects of Deforestation:
- As there will be less trees, there will be less photosynthesis, which will later on cause the Less Production of Oxygen. This is one of the biggest threat of deforestation
- As there will be less trees and forests, there will be a loss of shelter to animals, which will ultimately result in problems in food chain.
- Due to less number of trees there will be very less binding in the soil. This will lead to the loosely packing of soil, which ultimately results in Soil Erosion.
- There will be increase in quantity of Carbon Dioxide in the air, which leads to green House effect and Global Warming .
- During flood the trees acts as natural dam as they stop the flow of river. As there will be less number of trees , there will be no natural slower of flow of river, which will ultimately cause Floods.
