What are the harmful effects of eutrophication

Eutrophication can have serious effects, like algal blooms that block light from getting into the water and harm the plants and animals that need it. If there's enough overgrowth of algae, it can prevent oxygen from getting into the water, making it hypoxic and creating a dead zone where no organisms can survive.

●Eutrophicatikn is the excess growth of

algae in lakes ponds and other water

bodies which block oxygen from entering.

●Due to this the aquatic organisms like fish

,etc do not oxygen to breath which leads to

their death

●It converts the water bodies into a hypoxic

zone where no organism can survive

●Dur ti this the marine diversity is lost which

causes a loss in the balance of the

ecosystem.
