Importance of Earthworm

1. They borrow make the soil or land porous.

2. They are known as friends of farmers bacause they are believed as natural ploughmen of land.

3. In the fishing process they are used as bait for the fishes as we can see it easily in villages.

Harms Caused due to Earthworm

1. Increase soil erosion harms the roots of betal plants.

2. They act as hosts for transmission of some parasites.

Example- Gape worm of chicken.

3. Sometimes they get Buried with dead bodies and they bring up the infection and harmful microbes with them on the surface.
