Source of fuel and fertilizer is methane gas plants used as practice recently introduced in this century.

Process of bacterial decomposition has occurred in nature from evolution of  life where plants and animals die and are recycled to sustain life on the planet.

Presence of oxygen, organic material “composts” undergoes decomposition(aerobically).

During decomposition in the absence of oxygen (anaerobic conditions) methane gas is occurred and the remaining liquid is rich in other nutrients.

Biogas is nothing but methane gas. It is produced from the compost pits from the old remaining of plants and animals which leads to biogas formation. Hence the basic requirements for the formation of biogas is old decomposed plant and animal remains. Thus the biogas is formed. It is formed from the decomposition of the plants and animal remains which release the methane gas in the process. Thus the biogas is formed. Hope this answers helps you.
