Solution:

Convert the equation into

two intercepts form :

i.e ., x/a+y/b = 1

Here ,

x-intercept = a ,

y-intercept = b

Now ,

2x-5y = 50

Divide each term by 50, we get

=> 2x/50-5y/50 = 50/50

=> x/25 -y/10 = 1

=> x/25 + y/(-10) = 1

Therefore,

x-intercept (a) = 25,

y-intercept (b) = -10

using double intercept form equation,we know that,

x/a+y/b=1

Now,

2x-5y=50

dividing both sides by 50,

2x/50-5y/50=50/50

x/25-y/10=1

intercepts,

a=25,b=-10
