the issues of sustainability are important for development because development must happen in present and for future also. if natural resources are not sustained now it will cause development to stop or stagnant.

It means that development should take place without damaging the environment , and development in the present should not compromise with the needs of future generations.This concepts stresses the role of the environment as capital that ,if exhausted cannot be replaced.
