  • After complete reaction, Mass of reactant = Mass of products.

  • And in an incomplete reaction, mass of reactants = mass of products formed + mass of non-reacted reactant.

Note : Reactant are the elements or compounds that goes under reaction whereas the substance formed after reaction is known as product.

Also, energy is released and absorbed only by making and breaking of bonds. When bonds are made energy is evolved and when bonds break the energy is absorbed.
