Mahatma Gandhi preached truthfulness and honesty through his principle of ' Satyagraha '. He believed in ahimsa or non-violence which is necessary to bring peaceful conditions in modern day India. He also lived a simple life with basic necessities and ate simple vegetarian food which can save us from many diseases in the future. The one quality of Gandhiji that I want to adopt in my life is that he always kept a watch to be punctual in all meetings and processions.
Mahatma Gandhi was not only known for his presence in India as a freedom fighter in fact he was pretty much identified for his ideology of 'satyagraha' and concept of 'know no evil'.
In order to live a peaceful and prosperous life, according to Mahatma Gandi one must follow the path of honesty and truthfulness. He would rather look at ways of silent protests rather than those which involved violence.
His way of spending life was based on simplicity. For instance, daily life routine of being simple, eating simple, living a simple life. This protected him from stress, getting ill, advanced his immunity, etc. Same things would apply to the common man of India. If these things would be adopted then that person can build patience which is extremely necessary in this world where people continue to incite and provoke others which mainly leads to crimes prevailing.
