The lessons from Gandhiji for a new and Happy India were:
Healthy human society and human relationship
Economic growth
Education for everyone
Religional equality
Good political system
Literature art and culture development
We can adopt these values by self purification
“self purification must mean purification in all walks of life. But the path of self purification is hard and steep. To attain to perfect purity one has to become absolutely passion free in thoughts , speech and action; to rise above the opposing currents of love and hatred, attachment and repulsion .Ahinsa is the farthest limit of humility”

Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi wanted us to live as a nation in unity despite our diverse religions, languages, and cultures. We have not learned any lessons from this. All we need to do is to nationally accept that we are human beings first. What language we speak does not matter; we will be understood somehow. Which religion we follow and have faith in would not matter as the universal belief is that there is only one God and He speaks and understands all languages. The hatred that is abundant today blocks our development.

Let us first see what “happy” and “prosperous” mean from Gandhi’s point of view. For Gandhi, happy and prosperous new India is one where basic necessities for all can be fulfilled. Equal opportunity is available to all. There is no discrimination against anyone on the basis of caste, gender, economic, social, religious, physical or intellectual status.
In order to achieve this ideal one has to work for a decentralized structure of governance. Adopt nonviolent ways to achieve this goal.
I was a teacher. I would like to continue to do that. Discussion of Gandhi’s ideas with people interested in is what I would love to do towards achieving this ideal.
