(✿)What are the limitation of green revolution?

\huge\underline\bold\orange{Answer:}

➡The Green Revolution was introduced to the Indian farmers for the cultivation of rice and wheat using HYV seeds. These seeds however required plenty of water and also chemical fertilisers and pesticides to produce best results. However there were certain limitation of the Green Revolution:

  • Green revolutions resulted in loss of soil fertility due to increased use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides.
  • Continued use of groundwater for tube well irrigation reduced the water-table below theground.
  • It benefitted only the rich farmers and not the small and marginal farmers as they could not afford the inputs that were required for cultivation of these seeds.
