Answer:

Infectious disease may be an unavoidable fact of life, but there are many strategies available to help us protect ourselves from infection and to treat a disease once it has developed.

Some are simple steps that individuals can take; others are national or global methods of detection, prevention, and treatment. All are critical to keeping communities, nations, and global populations healthy and secure.

Answer:

There are three limitations in the treatment approach in an infectious disease:-

  1. If someone has disease their body function are damaged and may never recover.
  2. A treatment will take time which means that someone suffering from diseases likely to be bedridden for sometime even if he given proper treatment.
  3. A person suffering from infectious disease can serve as the source from where infection spread to other person.

There are two ways to prevent a disease one is general and one is a specific to each disease

  1. The general ways of preventing a disease to prevent our body exposure to microbes for example we can prevent exposure to Air microbe by providing living condition that are not overcrowded, we can prevent exposure to water borne microbes by providing safe drinking water.
  2. The second principle is based on the strength of immune system to fight the disease. For an proper functioning Immune system, availability of proper and sufficient food for everyone is very important. Balance diet play a major role in it.
