An average does not tell about how an subject such as income is distributed amongst the people or any other thing.

Take an example

There are 5 people whose salaries are 2000,1000,3000,4000 and 50000

Average income will be 30000

But 4 people have just only salaries less than 5000.

So this is the limitation.
