The Civil Disobedience Movement aimed at the complete refusal of cooperation to the British and hinder the functioning of the government. It also aimed at the refusal to paying taxes, boycotting government institutions and foreign goods. Civil disobedience movement started on March 12, 1930.
Limitations
- Dalits participation in the Civil Disobedience movement was very limited,
- No Participation of Muslims
- The role of Sanatanis and Hindu Mahasabha was very dominant.
- In 1930 Dr B R Ambedkar clashed with Mahatma Gandhi at the second-round table conference by demanding separate electorate for Dalits.
- Participation had their own aspirations.
