What are the limitations of dobereiner's law triad ?

Dobereiner's trade states that when the three elements in a triad were written in order of increasing atomic masses the atomic mass of the middle element was roughly the average atomic mass of the other two elements.

But its limitation is that dobereiner could identify only three traids from the elements known at that time.

Hence his system of classification into triads was not found to be useful .
