Heya Friend,

Wind, waves and tides are particularly renewable sources of energy and are dependable sources of energy, still they have many limitations, some have been listed below :-

1. For wind energy, we do require locations where wind blow uniformly throughout the year. Also, uniform wind speeds upto 15 km/h are required for continuous power production by wind mills. Again, we require power supply and backups when their is absence of blowing winds. Also, setup of windmills require large supply area and more cost of setting up of windmills too.

2. For Wave energy, we require very strong water waves to flow from the devices which are setup for the power production in the sea which are very scarce.

3. For Tidal Energy too, we require very strong water tides for energy production, and there are only few countable locations where we get them.
