The 3 limitation in harnessing the wind energy are-

1. the speed of wind must be high (min. 15km/h)

2. cost of setting up a wind farm is high

3. availability of land as per the requirements i.e. large lands in hilly regions with high speed wind

(iii) Need of a back up facility when there is no wind.

(iv) Requires large area for setting up wind energy farms.
