What are the limitations of J.J. Thomson's model of the atom?

he couldn't explain the position of electrons and positively charged protons jj Thomson s model explained that there were equal no of electron and proton which make it neutral Thomson model was very simple to show structure of an atom

although this modal was able to explain overall neutrility of atom but was not consistent with the results of later experiments..

also this model does not show positions of electron .....
