JJ THOMSON'S MODEL OF THE ATOM :-

➠ JJ Thomson's model of the atom proved that all the atoms contains negatively charged particles called electrons.

➠ He first time proposed the plum pudding model.

\large\sf\blue{\underline{\underline{Limitations \ of \ the \ JJ \ Thomson's \ model \ :-}}}

  • This model of the atom failed to explain that how electrons charge are hold by postive charge inside the atom.
  • It is unable to explained the alpha scattering experiment of Rutherford.
  • The model did not explained anything about the nucleus of an atom.
  • There was no experimental evidence given by JJ thomson for the model which is proposed by him.
