the drawback of Rutherford nuclear model of an Atom was that as the nucleus and electrons are held Together by electrostatic forces of attraction it would lead to the fusion of the nucleus with electrons this does not happen in the atom for this Rutherford give the explanation that electron revolve around the nucleus in a spiral path this too is not satisfactory because in following a spiral path energy is lost by the electron and ultimately they will fall into the nucleus of an atom are stable
