Explanation:

Rutherford's model was unable to explains the stability of an atom. According to Rutherford's postulate, electrons revolve at a very high speed around a nucleus f an atom in a fixed orbit. However, Maxmell explained acculerated charge particles release elctromagentic radiation..

Heyaa!!!!

The atomic theory proposed by Rutherford was generally acceptable .

But according to this model electrons should eventually collapse into the nucleus as they lose their energy while revolving within the field of attraction of the nucleus .

But this will not happen in atoms. Rutherford failed to give an explanation to this doubt .

So this model was eventually discarded
