hii mate,
Snell's Law of Refraction fail when light incidents on the surface of separation of the 2 media normally or through the normal. It is because when light incidents through the normal, the angle of incidence is equal to zero. Therefore the angle of Refraction is also zero.

Limitations of the snell's law:

  • The Snell's law of refraction of finite beams has the drawbacks in terms of beam being produced.
  • The factors like the beam production depends on the type of beam being produced.
  • The beam produced depends on the elements and size of the elements which has to produced this finite beam.
  • If this condition fails then the snell's law for refraction angle of finite beam, fails completely, such hindrance create the barrier in measurement.
