What are the losses to the soil by using chemical fertilizers?

By the use of chemical fertilizers the bacteria which help in nitrogen fixation gets destroyed and many useful microbes are also destroyed which help in growing crops . Moreover after some time the soil becomes no more fertile and no more crops can be grown on the soil
