the french people thought that king louis the 16th  and queen  marie antwonett were unfair and only thought of the arristocrats and more lavish things then the poor and the rest of thiere people that is why the storming of the bastille fortress/prison by the resistance started the civil unrest and disorder leading to the king and the queeen being beheaded by nthe guiletine



if your talking about ww2 resistance  then its also because they thought the nazi acupation was crul and unfair and with the help of the allies helped destroy bridges landlines and railroads to stop/slow the german advance in france
