CHARACTERS OF AMPHIBIA :

1) THE animals included in class amphibia are commonly called amphibias. they were the first vertebrates to invade land.

2) The body varies in form . the skin is smooth, moist, rich in mucous and poison glands. scales are mostly absent.

3) Respiration takes place by gills, lungs,livieof buccopharygeal cavity and skin .

4) The heart is three- chambered : two auricles and one ventricle.
