The significant features of mature harappen phase are personal cleanliness, town planning construction of burnt- brick houses, ceramics, casting, forging of metals, manufacturing of cotton and woolen textiles. There is evidence of settlement in this area as early as 7000 BCE. The Indus Valley Civilization is often separated into three phrases: The Early Harappen Phase from 3300 to 2600 BCE, The Mature Harappen Phase from 2600 to 1900 BCE, and the Late Harappen Phase from 1900 to 1300 BCE.
