The highly organised plants contain conducting tissues like xylem and phloem. Xylem transports water and minerals from roots to aerial parts of the plant whereas phloem transport food from leaves to other parts of the plant.

Answer:

transportation system is called vascular system. there are two broad type of tissues mainly called xylem and phloem.

when the plant (or tree) transpirates, it releases water through stomata and creates a suction pull which transports water and minerals from the roots to the leaves and other parts. the xylem tissue absorbs the water and minerals and translocates it to other other parts (basically, leaves). the phloem veins then carries the glucose prepared by the leaves and other photosynthetic parts. this process continues throughout photosynthesis.
