IN PARALLEL CONNECTION POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE WOULD BE SAME THROUGH ANY TWO POINTS IN THAT CIRCUIT AND CURRENT WOULD BE SAME THROUGH ANY TWO POINTS IN A SERIES CIRCUIT.

in series connection the act of adding more resistors increase the overall equivalent resistance as there is a single pathway for a charge to flow and the charge will pass through each of the resistors. this increase in resistance decrease the current in the circuit.

but in parallel adding more branches decrease the overall equivalent resistance as there are multiple pathways and a charge will pass through one of the branch this increase the rate of flow or current.
