What are the main difference between well and tube well irrigation?

Tube wells are the wells from which we pump out the water through a handle present on it. Tube wells can trap water from deep strata. Dug wells are the wells from which we pull the water through a bucket or anything by which can hold the water. In dug well water is collected from water bearing strata.

Well and tube well irrigation:

  • Well, irrigation is a kind of irrigation in which the fields of the farmer are irrigated by the use of well.
  • There are mainly two types of well. One is man dug well and the other well is run by electricity.
  • A tube well is a sort of water well in which stainless steel tube or duct is fed up into an underground aquifer.  
  • Well, and Tube Well irrigation is the best irrigation system in India.
