The main factors which affect the climate are:
altitude:the air near the surface of the earth surface is denser who is more water vapour and dust particles and so absorbs more heat however as we go off air becomes thinner and cannot have the same amount of heat.
latitude: the places near the equator get direct rays of the Sun therefore they are more warm.
cloud cover:cloud cover tense to absorb excess heat during daytime and prevent loss of heat during night..
