The main features of Indian middle paleolithic age are as follows :-
1.Indian middle paleolithic age extended from 50,000 BC to 40,000 BC.
2. In India the middle paleolithic sites were found in Narmada Valley and their tributaries in Central India, Budha Pushkar in Rajasthan and in Tungabhadra river valley.
3.In the middle paleolithic age the tools become smaller, lighter and thinner.
4. This period is also known as Flake tool industry.
5. The raw materials used for making these tools were chert and jasper. They are fine grained siliceous rocks.
6. Before the burial the dead were painted.
