The main features of the mechanical teachers and schoolrooms that Margie and Tommy had in the story are:-

The mechanical teacher was more efficient than human teachers.

It was also having several benefits than the human teachers.

The school rooms in which they studied were,there own bedrooms.this is having it's benefit as studying alone without talking with others helps in concentrating on our work.another benefit of these types of school rooms are that the mechanical teacher concentrates only on one child and helps that child to grasp the new things faster.

Besides the features/advantages the mechanical teacher and the school rooms have disadvantages as discussed in the story..

The mechanical teacher is placed in one of the rooms of the house and they can get the knowledge of various subjects of individually from the mechanical teacher. They don’t have such classrooms where students sit together. They study from the telebooks. So they don’t require books and exercise books. The examination system is very different. They do homework in a different way. Margie has to write them out in a punch code. She leamt it when she was six years old. So the system of their education is technologically advanced and not based on printed books.$
