election commission is a group of people which is responsible for held in election in all over india. They are supposed to keep the check whether the elections are held in free and fair manner.the chief election commissioner is the head of EC he is appointed by the president but later is not answerable to any a one .If he/she finds that the elections held in a particular area were not fair they can re conduct the election.
