1.To train and organize the farmers for adoption of economic

cropping sequence, crop diversification and improved agricultural

practices to enhance crop production and productivity and there by

income of the farmers.

2. Encourage the farmers to adopt improved soil, water and crop

management practices such as to achieve higher irrigation water

use efficiency.

3. To motivate and guide the farmers to adopt ‘Rotational Water

Supply’ system for equitable distribution and ‘Participatory

Irrigation Management’.

4. To facilitate the farmers for availing benefits of various government

schemes and programs under operation from time to time for the

development of agriculture.
