Objective resolution was passed by Jawaharlal Nehru in 1946

It laid down the basic principles and the ideas on which the Indianconstitution has to be made by the assembly.

It was the objective resolution that give institutional expression to the fundamental commitments that is equality sovereignty and liberty.

This was a resolution adopted in the Constituent Assemble of Pakistan in the year 1949.

It clearly stated that Pakistan would not blindly follow European tradition rather it will draw its constitution on the lines of Islam.

It has been made an integral part of Constitution of Pakistan under article 2(A).
