main points of this theory are: 1. Radiant energy is emitted or absorbed not continuously but discontinuously in the form of small packets of energy called quanta. Each wave packet orquantum is associated with definite amount of energy.

Main points of Planck’s quantum theory:

1. The light is dispersed in the form of packets which is discrete is called quanta.

2. The light distribution in discrete packets is unable to explain with classical physics background.

3. Black body radiation, photo electric effect  were explained easily by Planck’s theory.

4. The conclusion in theory of Planck’s quantum light is discrete in nature apart from its wave form.
