What are the main roles of the following chemicals in froth flotation: carboxymethyl cellulose, soda ash, copper sulfate, sodium cyanide, pine oil ?

Pine oil is used as frother . For many ores of Copper and tungsten, they are used as collectors . Starch , soda ash and dextrin are used as modifier .

Carboxy - methyl cellulose is mostly used as modifier . Sodium cyanide can be used as depressant in the froth flotation process of copper .
