- Some major issues of water quality are industries wastes in rivers and ocean, untreated sewage.
- These are directly allowed in the rivers which affects the quality of water
- Even the fertilisers given to the crops sometimes gets washed away by floods or rainwater and cause the water to be polluted.
- People are suffering from 'water pollution', 'poor sanitation', a 'decrease in rainfall', groundwater levels decreasing day by day.
- India being the second most populated country of the world, with such a large population India is always in a need a large quantity of water.
