Deforestation is the cutting down of trees and this occurs due to many reasons like:-
+ Need of land for agricultural, residential and industrial purposes. We cut down huge areas of forests and a lot of trees.
+ Widening of roads in cities also costs the lives of many trees which are cut down in order to widen the road.
+ People also cut down trees for timber ans for making furniture and other purposes.
