Causes of migration:

Reasons of migration is divided into two categories. They are:

1. Push factors: The important factors are - Poverty, High population pressure on the land, Lack of basic infrastructure facilities like healthcare, education, natural disasters-flood, drought, cyclonic stroms, earthquake, tsunami, wars and local conflict.
2. Pull factors: Better opportunities, availability of regular work, relatively higher wages, better opportunities for education, better health facilities, source of entertainment.
