In many democratic countries, the political leaders, officers, tend to be corrupt, dishonest and inefficient. They ask for the bribe. This results in lack of trust of the citizens. This affects the working of democracy in the country very badly.

the major challenge of democracy are as:

1) growing economic and social qualities among people:

it is quite evident that all the citizens have right to vote and fight elections but only rich people have a chance to win the election.

2)Role of anti social elements:

during election,the role of anti social elements gets a sudden rise.voters are forced to vote for a particular candidate or party.

Ragging also take place during the election.

3) corruption and inefficiency:

In most of the Democratic countries political leaders and government officials are dishonest, corrupt and inefficient. As a result, citizens generally do not take any interest in election.they even have no faith in government officials.they adversely affect the working of democracy in India.
