The challenges are
1)radicalization of society,disturb of peace
2)naxalism as a great threat to internal security
3)slow down of growth or job less growth not matching the demand of people
4)if hauge demographic dividend not utilized in productive manner can turn into demographic disaster
5)farm crisis, agriculture growth should be 4% but not being achieved consistently, this is the major crisis in rural area.
6)manufacturing sector not developed so where semi skill people or skill less people from rural India will be employed.
7)cross border terrorism and illegal trade of narcotics ,many youth of India have become habitual of alcohol, drugs, ganza etc,
8) corruption has become major social evil, lack of ethics among people, societal values are being degraded day by day
9)hatred among different castes and religions
10)assertiveness of local identities , boost to regionalism, language and cultural clash

The biggest challenges faced by Indian democracy is persistence of high level of poverty, illiteracy, unemployement, discrimination(gender and cast) and large income gap between rich and poor. ..
