What are the major differences between metals and non-metals?

Metal are those which have the property to loose electrons and form positive ions..
and non metals are those which have the property to gain electrons and form negative ions

1. lustrous ( shine )
2. good conductor of electricity and heat
3. malleable ( hammered into thin sheets )
4. ductile ( drawn out into a thin wire )
5. sonorous ( produce ringing sound )

★ Non-metals :
1. non lustrous
2. bad conductor of heat and electricity
3. non malleable
4. non ductile
5. non sonorous
