Answer:
1) Name the microorganisms which can fix atmosphere
The microorganism which can fix atmospheric nitrogen in the soil is bacteria. There are several species of bacteria capable of fixing nitrogen, but the most widely known species are Azotobacter and Rhizobium.
2) Write 10 lines on the usefulness of microorganisms
Microorganisms are very useful to us. They help us in following ways:
(i) Microorganisms help us in food sector. They are used for curdling of milk, preparation of bread, cake, etc.
(ii) Microorganisms are used to produce alcohol at large scale.
(iii) They are also used to produce wine.
(iv) Yeast is used in bakeries.
(v) They are also used as preservatives for food items.
(vi) They are used to make different medicines, especially the antibiotics. (vii) Microorganisms are used to prepare vaccines for various diseases.
(viii) They are useful for agriculture sector, as they enhance the fertility of soil by fixing nitrogen.
(ix) They work as natural cleaners, as they decompose the dead bodies of plants and animals.
(x) Microorganisms prepare manures by decomposing dead bodies of plants and animals.
3)Write a short paragraph on the harmful effects of microon
Harmful microorganisms include fungi, bacteria, protozoa, etc. They cause several diseases in human beings, animals, and plants which can even lead to death. The harmful microorganisms not only damage the human body but also the food we eat. Such disease-causing microorganisms are called pathogens. Some of the common diseases affecting humans are cholera, common cold, chicken pox and tuberculosis. Some microorganisms spoil food, clothing and leather. Disease-causing microorganisms in plants like wheat, rice, potato, sugarcane, orange, apple and others reduce the yield of crops.
4) What are antibiotics?
Antibiotics are medicines that fight infections caused by bacteria in humans and animals by either killing the bacteria or making it difficult for the bacteria to grow and multiply. Bacteria are germs. They live in the environment and all over the inside and outside of our bodies.
5) What precautions must be ukes will antibiotics ?
1- Antibiotics should be taken under the supervision of a well qualified doctor.
2- Course (intake) of antibiotics should be completed as prescribed by the doctor.
3- Antibiotics should be taken in the right amount and at the right time. A wrong dose of antibiotics makes the drug ineffective. Also, excessive consumption of drugs may kill the useful bacteria present in our body
6) Pull out a gram or bean plant from the field. Observe its roots on will find round structures called root nodoles on the ea diagram of the root and show the root nodules
Root nodules are the part of the plant that are swollen . Root nodule symbiosis enables nitrogen ‐ fixing bacteria to convert of nitrogen fertilizer for many legume crops such as peas, beans clover and gram.

8) Visit a doctor. Find out why antibiotics should not be senses Prepare a short report
When antibiotics are actually used correctly, antibiotics can do an amazing job of cleaning up the most lethal bacterial infections, and if you're sick enough to be hospitalized for an infectious illness, antibiotic might even save your life. Antibiotics are overused and over- prescribed-despite repeated pleas now a days from infectious disease experts warning otherwise. Their crystal clear usage guidelines for antibiotics are often ignored by busy doctors eager to appease the many patients who show up demanding a quick fix for their illness One of the most serious problems with antibiotic overuse is that too many strains of bacteria are becoming resistant to the drugs. Antibiotic resistance is a widespread problem, and one that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) calls "one of the world's most pressing public health problems." Infectious bacteria constantly multiply. All it takes are a few strong bacteria to actually defeat the antibiotic. And the constant fight against antibiotics teaches the bacteria to grow even stronger, making them much harder to kill. This not only creates the need for more antibiotics, but it can also be life-threatening if the right antibiotic isn't found in time.
