In this programme the Government will identify talented players at various levels by the High-Powered Committee and will provide annual financial assistance of ₹ 5 lakh per annum for 8 years.
Khelo India School Games, which are a part of the Khelo India programme, will be held annually at various states across the nation. . Under-17 athletes will take part in 16 disciplines such as atheletics, archery, football, hockey, badminton, gymnastics, kabaddi, kho-kho, shooting, volleyball, etc. The events will be telecast all across the nation.
