Later, in "1860 the Police Act, 1861" was set up which was based on a draft presented by the committee of 1860.
This act proved to be dictatorial after the Sepoy Mutiny in 1857.
Even today, it is being followed. The Police system was referred to as the Indian Imperial Police in British India.
